Want to join our all-star staff team? We are currently hiring for the following positions:

 

 NURSE (RN or RPN) 

Description

Camp Solelim is looking for certified (RN/RPN) nursing staff for the summer of 2021. Applications are welcomed from certified and graduating nurses. Nursing staff are responsible for the general health and well-being of our 195 campers and staff as well as the management of our Health Centre.

Specific roles and responsibilities include:

  • Daily clinics (time for campers/staff to visit the Health Centre) and related recording/administration

  • Daily medication administration

  • Maintaining first aid kits for camp activities and overnight canoe trips

  • Caring for sick and injured campers

  • Facilitating medical appointments with virtual and local clinics

  • Communicating with campers’ families when necessary

  • Managing the Health Centre

Dates

The start date for this position will fall between June 27th and July 2nd depending on other commitments. The position will run until August 18th. 

Location

Ideally, our nurse would live on site at camp in Sudbury (room and board provided by camp).

 ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR 

Description

We are looking for an expert communicator and master project manager to join our leadership team this summer. Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Director and Head Staff in running daily camp operations

  • Managing the camp office and parent communications

  • Coordinating kitchen operations with Head Chef

  • Coordinating Health Centre operations with camp nurse

  • Overseeing camp's supply chain management

  • Managing essential camp services such as mail and laundry

  • Ensuring that a safe and organized environment is maintained

 

Dates

We would love for this position to start on June 16th, but we are willing to be flexible on the start date for the right person! The Administrative Director role runs until the end of camp on August 18th.
