KEEPING IN TOUCH

 TORONTO OFFICE: (416) 781-5156

Until the last week in June, the Camp Solelim office is located on the second floor of 788 Marlee Avenue in Toronto. The office is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Fridays as well as Jewish and statutory holidays. If you would like to set up a meeting or call with our Director, Shauna Waltman, please email director@campsolelim.ca.

 CAMP OFFICE: (705) 522-1480

Our camp office will open the week before our campers arrive. The Camp Solelim office is staffed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sunday to Thursday and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday. On Saturday and after hours, voicemail is checked regularly. Our office staff check their emails daily but, due to the fast-paced schedule of camp, they are not always able to reply immediately. We strive to return all emails and calls within 24 hours during the week and within 36 hours on the weekend.

 LETTERS

Campers look forward to receiving news from home and we encourage families to write regularly. Mail is distributed daily Monday through Friday. Camp mail and packages should be clearly labelled with your camper’s name and our summer mailing address:

 Camp Solelim
 6490 Tilton Lake Road
 Sudbury, ON P3G 1L5

 PACKAGES

If you would like to send a small care package to your camper, please use CANADA POST only. Deliveries from third-party companies like Amazon Prime, Fed-Ex, UPS and Purolator often get rerouted to pick up facilities far from camp that require the recipient to be present with identification to retrieve the package, making it impossible for us to retrieve. Solelim will not take responsibility for picking up packages from any services other than CANADA POST. Please keep the size of your package to 9 x 12 inches and 1 inch thick. While books, magazines, comics, stickers, colouring books, etc. are welcome, please do not send food or candy so as to prevent bears and rodents in our campsite. If you need to send clothing or other emergency items to your campers, please contact the camp office first and we can help you find the best way to get them what they need. If you are planning on travelling overseas during the summer, please contact the office and let us know. We will work together to make alternative arrangements for your camper(s) to receive mail while you are away.

 CAMPER MAIL

Camp Solelim aims to nurture campers’ independence and sense of responsibility. We encourage campers to share their camp experience with their families, but we do not have designated letter-writing times or quotas. If receiving mail is important to you, please share your feelings with your camper. Pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelopes help make writing home easier. Camper mail will be collected and mailed throughout the week. Delivery times can vary: due to our location, outgoing mail can take up to a week to arrive in Toronto and longer for other destinations.
